First of all I'd like to thank you for joining me at my visio address. While you're here, I'd like to tell you a little about myself.
My name is Alicia and I am 27 years old. I've lived in Wisconsin my whole life, but have jumped from city to city within Wisconsin. I have one sister, a step-sister, and two step-brothers whom I love very much. And while I live four hours away from them, my family is the most important thing to me, so I make sure to keep in touch regularly.
I graduated high school in 1994 and immediately attended UW-Whitewater for Advertising/Marketing. After realizing I wasn't ready for another four years of school I decided to take a break. That break ended up being four years itself, in which duing I worked in a factory. Well lets say it doesn't take much to figure out that I didn't want to work in a factory for the rest of my life, therefore I knew that I had to go back to school.
My first step in doing this was to talk to a counselor at
Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. After changing my mind a few times I decided to enroll in their CIS: Programmer/Analyst Associates Program and two years later I graduated with high honors. Although having my Associates degree is very fulfilling for me, you just don't get the job prospects as you would if I had my Bachelor's degree. So that is what I am doing now. I am going for my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at
Franklin University.
